Welcome to room 616's website!! Please check here from time to time to get updates of class work as well as homework assignments.
If your student is absent you should be able to print worksheets as well as use the online textbook, so you shouldn't need to request science homework. Also you can check to see if your student has homework for the night.
1. I will not be grading according to percentages. We will be doing a point system. This should be less confusing for the students. Grades will be based on how many the students got right out of the the total for the assignment.
2. I will be weighting assignments that the students turn in. Homework will be 10% and tests/quizzes will be 60% of their grade. This means that it is important to do homework and get it turned in on time but to also understand what you are doing on the homework so that it will trasnlate to the test/quiz.
3. Late papers can result in a detention.
4. Students must be prepared for class at all times. This includes having your ID's. Students without ID's may receive an after school detention.
5. Papers without names them will be thrown away and the student will then receive a late and have to redo the paper.
6. I will not be printing out extra papers for students who lost or misplaced them. Students will need to log onto http://connected.mcgraw-hill.com to print extra copies. If they are unable to do this at home they are more than welcome to print here at school at the end of class or before class starts in the morning.
7. Students who do not have homework completed from make-up or late work will not be permitted to watch any movies or participate in labs. The student will be responsible for the missed material.
8. If students need help you can call 1-877-ASK-ROSE for math and science help. Also it maybe helpful to write questions down at home to be asked the next day at school.
